Common side effects of Januvia may include:
- upper respiratory infection, runny nose, sore throat, headach, stomach upset, diarrhea, etc.
If you have any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction after taking Januvia, stop taking Januvia and contact your doctor immediately. Serious allergic reactions of Januvia include rash, hives, and swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and throat which may cause difficulty breathing.
Precautions:
Consult your doctor before you start taking Januvia, if you have had pancreatitis or any kidney problems.
Patients with type 1 diabetes or with diabetic ketoacidosis should not take Januvia.
Do not take Januvia if you are allergic to the active ingredients sitagliptin
Consult your doctor before taking Januvia if you are pregnant, planning to be pregnant or breastfeeding.
