Product Description
Plagril is designed to prevent blood platelets from clotting that can occur in people with certain heart or blood vessel problems.
Plagril is used in people after a recent heart attack, stroke, and those with certain disorders of blood circulation.
Dosage:
Take Plagril exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Plagril can be taken with or without food. Take Plagril with a full glass of water.
Side Effects:
Stop using Plagril and get emergency medical help immediately if you have any of these side effects:
- difficulty breathing
- swelling of face, lips, or throat
- blood in your urine or stools
- serious nose bleeding
- vomit or cough up blood
- chest pain
- nausea and sick feeling
Precautions:
Do not take Plagril/Plavix if you have any active bleeding disorder, such as TTP or hemophilla.
Do not take Plagril/Plavix if you have a history of mini stroke.
Do not take Plagril/Plavix if you have kidney disease.
Do not take Plavix if you have any bleeding problems in stomach.
Plagril/Plavix is grouped under FDA pregnancy category B. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment of Plavix.
